Capirinha - English Instructions and Family Tradition

Capirinha Original  in English– my father at least...

01 lemon small size(not sicilian!)
02 tea spoons of white sugar (well, I prefer mine with more, up to you)
70 ml of Cachaça  * is a liquor made from fermented sugarcane juice.
It is the most popular distilled alcoholic beverage in Brazil. It is also known as aguardente, pinga, caninha
50 ml of water
Ice Cubes

First, peel off the lemon the green layer and the white layer. Slice the lemon in four parts. Remove the seeds and the white part from inside. Mix the sugar and macerated – not much. Then add the liquor, the water and complete with iced cubes. You can make it stronger putting less water and more liquor.

My father special touch is, not putting water. Just 80 ml of liquor and complete with just ice cubes…. Then waiting for 10 minutes. The flavours will blend and the pure ice will make the drink cold. Just mix gently and enjoy!

Eletronic Voting System

urna_ae

Electronic vonting system was invented by Carlos Prudencio, 1989: The first vote per computer terminal was installed in Brusque, Santa Catarina, on a trial in the 1989 elections. Carlos Prudencio was a judge in the state on election day and with the help of his brother, a businessman in the IT area, Prudencio made a computer program. The first fully computerized election in Brazil occurred in February 12, 1995, in Xaxim, also in Santa Catarina, for the positions of mayor.

My notes:
Nowadays, almost all the elections are run by an eletronic system... counting votes on papers seems a very old style for some new generation of brazilian vote. This system helps to reduce the frauds that may happen in the counting paper. Most of the brazilian trust in the system.
Vote in Brazil is compulsory.
It was just a problem when you need to vote and you have a line with 10 old-no-digital people generation... it would get more time, not even sure if they did it in the right way.
Today the situation is far more better. Old-no-digital people generation was forced to deal with technology for receiving their retirement money by digital machines later. So, it is not a problem anyore

I will translate them all... and post one by one. Some are funny and others are just born by the pure necessity of a moment...

First One - A bit obvious... but: FUTVOLEI or FOOTVOLEY
Inveted by Otávio Moraes - 1965: The architect and sportsman was looking for a solution to escape the police ban play soccer on the beaches, and thus he decided to play on a volleyball court with net and fenced grounds , which was allowed.
Some friends accompanied Tata, his nickname, Then came the first rules of the new sport. One of them said to give the service the player should catch the ball with his hand and kick it to the opponent. Since then, this sport has gained the country's beaches, and fans around the world and official championships.
