Electronic vonting system was invented by Carlos Prudencio, 1989: The first vote per computer terminal was installed in Brusque, Santa Catarina, on a trial in the 1989 elections. Carlos Prudencio was a judge in the state on election day and with the help of his brother, a businessman in the IT area, Prudencio made ​​a computer program. Nowadays, almost all the elections are run by an eletronic system... counting votes on papers seems a very old style for some new generation of brazilian vote. This system helps to reduce the frauds that may happen in the counting paper. Most of the brazilian trust in the system.
Vote in Brazil is compulsory.
It was just a problem when you need to vote and you have a line with 10 old-no-digital people generation... it would get more time, not even sure if they did it in the right way.
Today the situation is far more better. Old-no-digital people generation was forced to deal with technology for receiving their retirement money by digital machines later. So, it is not a problem anyore
