If you are not religious but a gourmand, musician, philosopher or just a tourist sick of malls in Sao Paulo.
You should consider going Mosteiro Sao Bento. It is next to a Metro Station. The first construction is dated from 1600, it a lot of time considering that Sao Paulo was formed around 1550.

On Sundays, there a celebration in Gregorian Chant. During one Sunday each month, you can enjoy a brunch inside the monastery - need reservations before. The brunch is very expensive, now 150 BRL - but is signed by chefs and monks.
In the same tour inside the monastery, you can see the oldest Philosophy School in Latin America (inside the complex).
Well... if brunch is not an option, they have a bakery there too... and I think the small cakes from there are just a perfect gift from Sao Paulo. Good price... and they can delivery, in case you are not interest in going to a Monastery.
