Lambada is or was a brazilian music style very popular in the 80's. One of the most famous brazilian songs can be "Chorando se foi", I am pretty sure that I could listen this music at the radio in Germany, Italy, U.S, Peru and Bolivia...
I am not a expert but lambada is close to Brega style...
